Taipei, March 14 (CNA) Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., the world's largest contract electronics maker, said Friday that during the current boom in demand for artificial intelligence applications, the company expects to see sales generated from AI servers top NT$1 trillion (US$30.30 billion) in 2025.


TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Asus laptops account for nearly 40% of the market share in Egypt, CNA reported on Tuesday. German market research firm GfK reported annual laptop sales in Egypt reached approximately 500,000 units. Asus leads the market, followed by Lenovo and HP.


TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The National Science and Technology Council announced that the combined revenue of Hsinchu Science Park, Central Taiwan Science Park, and Southern Taiwan Science Park reached NT$4.76 trillion (US$ 158.67 billion) last year, per CNA.


The United States has once again overtaken China as Taiwan’s largest export market, according to new government data. In February, Taiwan’s exports to the U.S. soared to nearly US$12 billion, marking the highest share of American-bound exports in over 25 years. AI hardware demand played a key role in driving this surge.


London-based market research firm Euromonitor International recently released its Top 100 City Destinations Index, evaluating global cities based on economic and business performance, tourism performance, infrastructure, policy and attractiveness, health and safety, and sustainability.
