TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – Kaohsiung’s concert economy was up for an award at the Stadium Business Summit in the United Kingdom, reports said Wednesday. Concert tourism at the city’s National Stadium was nominated for the Sponsorship, Sales and Marketing Award at the event in Manchester last month, per CNA. In the end, the Store of the Future at football team Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium won the prize.
Taipei, June 30 (CNA) The Taiwan Individual Savings Account (TISA) system, designed to encouraging public participation in long-term investment and asset management, was launched Monday, according to Taiwan Depository & Clearing Corp. (TDCC). In tandem with the system's launch, a dedicated portal -- TISA account inquiry platform (https://tisa.tdcc.com.tw/home/ssm101) -- also officially went online Monday to help investors more efficiently track their investments and account details, TDCC said.
Taipei, July 3 (CNA) Deputy Economics Minister Cynthia Kiang (江文若) on Thursday pledged government support for overseas Taiwanese and foreign businesses investing in Taiwan, following Cabinet approval of a slate of incentives that includes loans and subsidies. "Any companies [that wish to invest in Taiwan] and contribute to Taiwan's economy will receive government support," Kiang told a press briefing in Taipei.
Taipei, July 3 (CNA) Taiwan will present a cultural program from Aug. 2-20 titled "We Taiwan" during the ongoing World Expo in Osaka, Japan, to show the country as an "island of miracles" with unlimited innovation, the Ministry of Culture said Thursday. "We Taiwan" was first announced by the ministry in May as Taiwan's cultural program organized for the Expo 2025, which includes an exhibition at "VS.," a creative hub designed by Osaka-born architect Tadao Ando in the Grand Green Osaka complex close to Osaka Station, the ministry said in a statement.
Taiwan's first responders have claimed fourteen medals at the 2025 World Police and Fire Games in the U.S. state of Alabama.
