TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan Life Insurance Co., citing growth potential in Taipei’s Nangang District, said Tuesday that it has extended a 45-year land use right from Taiwan Fertilizer Co. by an additional 40 years. Taiwan Life Insurance Chair Hsu Shu-po (許舒博) said the company has developed the land into CTBC Financial Park, covering about 12,600 ping (approximately 41,600 square meters). The park includes office buildings and a retail complex leased to Mitsui Fudosan Co. for the Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport.
〔Taiwan News〕Taiwanese spirits break record with 38 awards
TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan’s ministry-certified spirits earned 38 awards at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the Ministry of Finance said Wednesday. Deputy Finance Minister Li Ching-hua (李慶華) said the ministry-certified spirits competed in the event, per CNA. They earned seven double gold medals, 13 gold, 13 silver, and five bronze, setting a new record.

Taipei, Oct. 28 (CNA) The first-ever Taiwan Weeks, a series of forums, seminars, and exhibitions on financial innovation in multiple countries, wrapped up with nearly 28,000 participants from more than 20 countries, underscoring the island's growing strength in the global capital market, the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) said Tuesday.
Taipei, Oct. 29 (CNA) U.S. chipmaker Nvidia Corp. has confirmed its Taiwan headquarters will be built on plots T17 and T18 in Beitou Shilin Technology Park in Taipei, Mayor Chiang Wan-an (蔣萬安) said Wednesday, adding that the city government will fast-track administrative procedures to help the company establish its presence as soon as possible.
