Mayor Hsieh stated that since taking office, his administration has actively promoted urban renewal, transportation infrastructure, and commercial real estate development. By optimizing infrastructure on both the east and west coasts, improving traffic flow, and enhancing pedestrian environments, the city aims to create a livable and commercially vibrant urban space. Recently, Uni-President Group’s Da-Zhi-Tong Logistics Center began construction in Keelung, representing an investment of nearly NT$4 billion—the largest private investment in the city in the past decade. This project is expected to boost local employment and stimulate overall industrial development in Keelung.
Additionally, the Keelung Badouzi Marina officially announced its investment leasing plan. Looking ahead, the city government would like to develop three shopping centers and mixed-use commercial complexes within Keelung to enhance commercial functionality and meet diverse consumer needs. The city's development requires the participation and collaboration of various industries, and Mayor Hsieh expressed hope that more businesses would evaluate investment opportunities in Keelung to help foster its economic growth.
Chairman Tsai emphasized that Keelung holds significant advantages in terms of its geographic location and development potential. Through the city government’s introductions and field visits, the delegation gained a deeper understanding of Keelung’s commercial development blueprint. TCSCRE looks forward to establishing closer collaborations with both the city government and the business community to drive commercial growth and economic prosperity in Keelung.
Keelung City Government Secretary-General Fang Ting-An added that this visit not only strengthened ties between the city government and the commercial real estate sector but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. The city government will continue to improve the investment environment, attract more businesses, promote local industrial development and innovation, and integrate international commercial expertise. The goal is to transform Keelung into a modern city that embodies innovation, sustainable development, and a global perspective. (the original news referring from yahoo, click here)
