TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Honhui Group will spend NT$8.6 billion (US$275 million) to build a transit hub near New Taipei Industrial Park and Xinzhuang District’s redevelopment zone by the end of this year, CNA reported. The city’s Transportation Department said the transit hub, set for completion by 2030, will feature 17 bus bays, more than 870 car parking spaces, and 1,060 scooter spots. A large observation deck will also be added, providing commuters with easier access to the nearby Circular Line and Airport MRT.



TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — The American Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced that 92% of companies that responded to a survey plan to maintain or increase investment in Taiwan this year, despite geopolitical uncertainty and disruptions in the global trade environment.


Taipei, Jan. 26 (CNA) The number of outbound travelers from Taiwan smashed previous records, rising more than 12 percent year on year, while the number of foreign arrivals rose 9 percent, the Tourism Administration said Monday. Data compiled by the agency showed the number of Taiwanese travelers bound overseas hit 18.94 million in 2025, up 12.43 percent from a year earlier, with Japan, China and Hong Kong/Macau the three top destinations.


Taipei, Jan. 28 (CNA) Approved German direct investment in Taiwan last year marked a 264 percent year-on-year increase to US$209 million, indicating German businesses see Taiwan as the most important strategic hub for technology development in the Asia Pacific, German Trade Office Taipei said Wednesday.


Nvidia Boss Jensen Huang praised TSMC's increased investment commitments under a new Taiwan-US trade deal. Huang has arrived in Taiwan just after the economy ministry gave the go-ahead for Nvidia's regional headquarters in Taipei.
