Each of the line’s 12 stations will feature site-specific public artworks, a concept New Taipei Mayor Hou Yu-ih (侯友宜) on Thursday described as turning the new MRT into a “mobile art museum.” The initiative is designed to reflect the city’s identity while offering commuters a gallery-like experience as they move through their day.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) – The National Development Council on Thursday approved the Tourism 2030 plan submitted by the Ministry of Transportation to boost visitor numbers. The plan sets out to attract more overseas visitors, to boost daily spending by travelers, and to turn tourism into a NT$1 trillion (US$32.77 billion) industry by 2030, per CNA. The Tourism 2030 plan still requires approval from the full Cabinet.

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — TSMC is expected to break ground in October on a 1.4 nm fab, the first of four chip facilities in the Central Taiwan Science Park. In June, TSMC acquired land for the second phase of the science park's expansion in Taichung, per Liberty Times. Local cement and construction companies have since begun receiving tender invitations for related projects.
